Unitarian Universalism is a living tradition. And Young Adults
all over the country are constantly involved in creating
new worship services, social justice programs and other activities.
Don't let these ideas get lost! This active archive is here
for group leaders searching for programming ideas, and allows
all those who are creating exciting young adult programs
to share them with everyone, contributing their creativity
to the UU young adult movement.
If you have created a successful young adult program—whether
it was last week, last year or 10 years ago—we encourage
you to list your program here. Click
here to add your own creation and make your program available
to everyone in our continental movement.
Worship
Services (newest additions)
- Spiritual Activism Worship Contributed by: Elandria Williams and Mary Manchester
A short worship on why we do the work we do. We did this as the final session of our four-day Spiritual Activism workshop at Opus 2006. It served as a reminder of why we do this work, and as an energizer to go out into the world and keep working. This worship will work best in a smaller group, because of the sharing, but you could cut the sharing short or do popcorn-style sharing of only a few people to cut down on time. You won\'t really need any time for rehearsal, it\'s pretty simple, and mostly based on sharing. - Stone Soup Contributed by: L.S. Quinn
This is a worship that can include lunch! It's about sharing and our spiritual gifts. Good for Thanksgiving or Christmas. - Light in Darkness Contributed by: L.S. Quinn
This worship examines the metaphorical power of our light in the world. We used it near the winter solstice.

Organize your group to be educated about SOA issues, peace principles, and be able to provide support for people who are participating in direct action around the SOA.

- Mirror Me Contributed by: Mo White
Easy and Fun Group activity-- 6 to 20 or so in group circle-- all must see each other.
One at a time each person creates a movement with an acompanying sound. Then the group mimics-mirrors that person. Rotate around the group several times. - Articulating our faith Contributed by: Kit Petrie
Theatre sports "freeze" style game to practice answering questions about Unitarian Universalism. Works well in groups of 6 to 15. - The Chair Game Contributed by: Jonathan
Great icebreaking game that helps people get to know each other and is lots of fun.
